halloween things & another challenge LO!

hellur everyone...I'm up late this evening finishing up a LO I started last night for the purple pumpkin october sketch challenge. I will also be entering this LO for Punky Scraps Halloween Challenge as well! The Purple Pumpkin one didn't call for a 'halloween' theme, but I really wanted to scrap these pictures of me, my sister and her hubby last year for Halloween. I went up to Tuscaloosa and had my first LIVE screening of Rocky Horror Picture Show @ the Bama Theatre, complete with extras, stage dancing, a costume contest, the works. My costume was a 'Snooki Miss Piggy' something I came up with that I thought would be original. Afterwards, we went out in downtown T-town, and everyone was dressed up! It was such a great atmosphere, and alot of fun, definatley an experience I'll remember for ever. This is an annual event for my sis and her hubs every year, so I hope next year I will be able to visit again and take my Jimmy with me this time! So since I loved these few pics so much, I decided to use them for this challenge.
This was the original sketch:
As you will see below, I used this as a rough sketch. I didn't really have a title, and I used 3 pictures instead of 2, but I think it still works. Also I didn't put a circle around the long strip of vertical paper, instead I made one of my photos more prominent than the others by putting a larger 'frame' around it. I think it worked out nicely with the clusters I have going on too! I love the way this spooky Lo turned out!!

Here are a few closies of the cute clusters I did using several different lines...animal print paper flowers from Oriental Trading Co, a few cutouts and acrylic stickies from Making Memories 'Spellbound' scrapbook kit, also Recollections signature scrap paper pad in 'Midnight Magic' and one of their adhesive embellies- the black and orange swirly. The background paper is from K&Co 'Halloween Whimsy' collection, and the torn paper strip is Heidi Grace double sided cardstock 'Halloween words'. Love these closies! Cause I LOVE these colors together!!!

Okay....sticking with the HALLOWEEN theme tonite, I will share with y'all a pic or two of the wicked wreath I did last year. I got the inspiration from one at Michael's took a pic of it and did my own version for about half the price they were selling it for! I used black roses, black toulle, some glitter spray, neon green ribbon with spiderweb print, some styrofoam eyeballs for the centers of the roses, and an evil butterfly. I love the way it turned out after it was all said and done! Have gotten so many complements on it when people come to visit! The pic didn't come out that great cause it's mostly black and ghoulish, but it looks great on my front door! Take a look:

I think that's about all for this evening... I am super excited because I got to finally update...it's been a long 7 days since my last post...and I'm also REALLY REALLY pumped for the next 3-4 weeks....graduations, celebrations, and vacations are all in my future...can't wait to share it all when it gets here. Have a WICKED WEEK my VV fans! Until next time~ VV
