FDFF Challenge 'Punches'

Our Fabulous Friday Challenge this time is to make any card, layout, or OTP project using Punches! I know lots of you have tons of these little guys laying around your creative space. I actually never really got into the punch thing but I do own a few. So this should be pretty simple!!! Here is my project for your inspiration:

For this layout I used my scallop punch, my heart punch, and my tag punch. I really wanted the papers to relect the bright colors in the photos so I used a scrap of some of my favorite Basic Grey paper to tie it all together, and pink and purple for the base. I wanted to ground my photos a bit so I used the same kraft paper I used to punch the tag. Once I had the photos glued down I was able to place my other elements. It came together pretty quickly! Here are a few close ups:

To add some dimenson to the hearts I punched, I glued them to kraft paper then tied it with a black tulle piece. After that I over them with stickles in 'fruit punch' and copper, kinda messy like to emulate the icing on the donuts. After that I hit it with my heat gun and it made the tulle shrink up a bit, which I really like the look of, goes with the whole 'voodoo' thing.

Thank you so much for stopping by today! I really have enjoyed being on this Design team, all my fellow gals are super sweet and talented! And I love getting comments from all of you. Today is my last day at work until June 17th!!!! I can't wait to be off work for 3 weeks! Of course we will be moving from May 29-June 1st the 2,700 miles from Mobile, Alabama to Portland, Oregon. Wish me luck on this crazy move, I'm going to need it- we are loading up our POD this weekend! I am so looking forward to a new space and new lifestyle- can't wait to set up and organize the new craft area since I've downsized my stash a bit ! Thanks again, until next time, Peace Ya'll~ VV

And our winner this time gets a lovely prize from our sponsor, Boys Rule Kits. So go ahead and link up your  project to the Frosted Designs blog no later than Thursday, June 6th to have a chance to win! The DT will also be selecting a TOP 3 as always, for bragging rights!!!!

Happy Sunday everyone!! I am here today with a quick share of a layout I did using some more lovely Graphic 45 papers and Thickers for my LSS, Scrapping Frenzy . These are some more photos of my trip to Portland, Oregon with my fiance' in Nov. 2011. It is almost a year later and I am still scrapping them! Came home with over 200 pics from that trip! I was inspired by the swirls on the decoration of the elephant statues which were similar to one of the papers. I used another larger strip of more muted colored paisley paper to break up the polka dot background paper. I also backed my photos in dark brown and cream cardstock and inked all of my elements. Here is a look at the whole layout:

used the orange and white dot paper from Graphic 45, as well as fussy cut some swirls out of the other paper by Graphic 45. To add dimension, I heat embossed the fussy cut swirls with UTEE. Also I layered another piece of dot paper by Graphic 45, some cheesecloth, a piece of shimmery beige cardstock, and a piece of seersucker fabric under my photos. I also cut a large circle out of cream cardstock and added a long strip of paper- scrap of Carta Bella paper from my stash for more color. Then I used flowers, buttons, and a few resin embellishments to make my clusters. Here is another shot:

For the title, I used 2 different packs of Thickers, which are quickly becoming a fav! Alright well I will leave you with one more photo for today and that’s it! I hope you have a great weekend and enjoy this cooler spell we’ve been having!

Oh, and PS if you haven’t already signed up for the wonderful CONVENTION hosted by Scrapping Frenzy going on next week, it’s not too late!!!! It’s going to be a great time!
