'rocketman' :ASC#13 sketch challenge

Good evening everyone! well yes I'm super proud of myself because this will be my SECOND post of the week. I had some extra time on my hands since I came home early from work Tues, and took a sick day today :( According to the Dr it was a 48 HR bug and could have been triggered by stress (gee you THINK?!) or something I ate, plus it's my time of the month...well all that rolled into one basically just made me feel like POOH the last 48hrs, and I finally started feeling more like myself late this afternoon. So I decided to go ahead and get my LO going for the October Sketch Challenge at Artful Delight. I discovered this blog a few weeks back, and have been DROOLING over their monthly kits... especially the October one that just came out. Looks like all the latest products and lines, and I may just have to break down and buy it if I don't win this challenge! LOL! Anyway, here is the inspiration

As you can see below, I mostly followed the sketch but made my background square smaller, as well as put my journaling on one of the smaller squares. Other than that I stayed pretty true to the sketch. I tried to add some circles around my squares but of course I needed more embellishment near the 'shooting star' part. Here are some pictures:

Here are a few closies of the glittering, stickering, and journaling I did on this page. I really like the way this turned out and it's one of my favorite pictures of my nephew, man he is getting so much bigger than this now!! 

I hope everyone enjoys their weekend.. I know I sure will now that I'm feeling like myself again, and we have Jimmy's /BIG DAY on Friday! Can't wait!!! Should be a very fun weekend :) even though I have to go back to work Sunday, I am hoping to stay inspired this week and get the rest of my little 'house projects' done and another LO or two ;) Until next time my scrappy frandz ~VV
