FDFF 'Travel' Challenge

Hi everyone!! Hope you've had a good week. I am excited to share another 2-PAGE layout that I did for the Frosted Designs Fabulous Friday Challenge. This time our challenge is to complete any project or layout with the theme of  'travel'. Well this isn't too hard at all..if you're like me you travel any chance you get, in fact most of my photos are from traveling..whether it's just a day trip on the road or flying across the country, I LOVE to TRAVEL!!! (almost as much as I love to scrapbook all the photos when I come back LOL).

So all you have to do to participate is get out those travel photos and start to work! When you're done link up your project to the Frosted Designs blog and we'll vote, there will be a Top 3 and an overall winner, who gets a lovely voucher from our sponsor this time, Artsy Albums !!! We'd love to see what you come up with!

Here is my project. I originally was going to just do a one-pager with more photos but I liked both papers so much that I had pulled from my stash I decided to spread the photos out and do more embellishing...my favorite part!! These1  photos are from our trip down to Fort Morgan during Spring Break in 2011.  Actually neither one of us is in school any longer but my sis and her hubby were down from Tuscaloosa for her spring break from Grad school and they invited us to stay with them at their awesome condo for a few days. It was great!! We took these photos on our way home, we rode the Ferry from Fort Morgan to Dauphin Island then drove all the way back to West Mobile. It was a neat trip, took a little longer than driving but the scenery was worth it! This is the first page:

Here are a few close ups (cold and windy out the last few days, sorry for the not so great pics! I took these at night in the scraproom.)

I have been doing this alot lately, but I really like smearing my flowers with distress stickles (because the glitter is chunkier) or regular stickles and then heating them with my heat gun. It makes them dry quick and kind of perk up if they are laying kind of flat. I do this alot to make flowers match the color scheme of my pages better. Also this time I smeared some on the corrugated cardboard piece too as a accident, but I ended up liking how it looked so I smeared some more!

And this is page two:

And here are the two pages together, will be happy to add these to our book! I normally don't do 2 pagers but I have done quite a few of them latley, need to look for some more 2 page sketches to get the mojo going again!!

Thanks again for stopping by! Don't forget to link up your project to the FD blog no later than April 23rd for your chance to win our great prize!!! Until next time, Peace Y'all~ VV
