hello blogging world.

Hi! I'm here! I made it! After much research and thought, I have finally made it here. I have a blog that will be solely dedicated to everything beautiful, rustic, vintage, old and new, everything I love about scrapbooking and papercrafting. All here in one place! I hope that this journey I am taking into the next chapter in my life will be one of growth and discovery. I am excited to be able to share it with everyone. It's always great to start a new project :)

I have added some of my favorite blogs over to the side here, these are all super great and I swear if I could just stay at home and blog all day about scrapping I would be soo happy!!! One day I hope to do something like this for a job, and work on a design team or get published. I know there is alot of talent out there but I think I have some pretty good work. I have been told at crops and conventions that I totally do! I have even been asking if I was selling my handmade cards. All of this feedback, after 10 years of scrapbooking has lead me here. Like I said, this is a journey we will all take together !!!

Ok, so I want to get straight to some pictures of my work, just so yall can see some stuff I have done. Still in the process of taking better photos but for now these will do. Hope it will give you some ideas if you are a scrapbooker! Here goes...first picture of a layout ever on my page LOL I'm getting excited.

So for this page, I used lots of ribbon to create some shabby chic flowers. basically I made small loops and stapled each loop to form the center of the flower. Kind of a neat idea for a not so neat looking flower. For the base of the page, I used scraps of patterned papers all from different lines. Some of the strips are wider and some smaller. I glued those down on top of a solid sheet to tie all the different patterns together. To add a focal point near the main attraction, a picture of my love (Jimmy) and his mom, I added a journaling block. This one I cut out myself but you could use any type of journaling block here.

For the finishing touches, I added a large title and subtitle. 'Mommas' is cut out on the cricut machine using the Don Juan cartridge. I also inked it with a cat's eye in chestnut roan. All of the paper strips are inked as well. I LOVE INK! Probably my favorite thing besides paper! Also to the top and bottom I added 2 chipboard tabs with brads to add visual interest and texture. Then I journaled in the box and inked the edges of the paper. Pretty much it for my first officially posted layout! More to come I promise scrapping friends :)
Until next time~ VV
